A few question about Redalert v3.3.8
1. Where / why has redflex gone from Output LUT / Gamma space?
2. What is Redrushes? What does it do?
3. Where do I find Redrushes?
Cheers, Tim

Hey Tim,
You will find Red Rushes in the new Red Alert install. It will just show up.
It allows you to batch a bunch of clips to quicktime quickly and efficiently. Kind of like going through Compressor with the proxies but getting debayer.
The only kick is no audio but I think they are working on it.

I think I found a bug in RedRushes:
If I render with "RSX + In/Out …" the resulting QT is fine.
If I try "RSX: …" (the second option) my QT is pure white.
Hope this helps.

Thats the same here when working with earlier build 16 files

Can either of you send me a sample file and RSX? PM me for upload info.
Also, can you try rendering after removing the RSX and see what happens?

I am getting the same white render as above. After removing the RSX file on pre-build 16 material then it will render with picture.

It's fixed for the next release. For now, select RSX w/ In/Out.

No matter what I try I keep getting just white for the qt! I am trying it with footage from build 15.

What codec are you rendering to? Do you have the codecs installed. Generally white QT's mean that you do not have the QT codec installed.

I would love to see a new version of REDrushes. I ran REDrushes on my quad 3.2Ghz w/ 16GB RAM running Leopard 10.5.4 and when I start the render my computer hard freezes. After a hard rest, the kernel panics begin. It seems to have taken out my CalDigit driver for my RAID.
I can get a stable OS by disconnecting the CalDigit RAID, but when reconnecting the RAID kernel panics ensue.
I have seen REDrushes run on older / slower Macs without problem. This is frustrating.
UPDATE: The new build (v3.4.2) fixed my freezing problem. Check out the discussion here: http://www.reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?t=17273
