Just saw the Peter Jackson film a couple hours ago (the 8th screening of the day). Simply put, they have delivered. I noticed some strange "jittering" on some of the aerial shots with a lot of movement but Jim acknowledged this issue saying that it was a product of the Boris and Natasha cams and that the issue has since been/will be fixed. The footage delivers and looks absolutely stunning. No words.

Thanks for the report robin! I love every bit that comes out of NAB!

Jitter was probably due to fixed 180 degree shutter? Wish I could be there!!

The best part of the screening was Jim's speech before it started about recording during the screening: "I would appreciate that both our work and Peter Jackson's work aren't viewed on YouTube so in light of that, if we see a cell phone pop up during the screening we will wait until afterwards then we will take you, beat the shit out of you, and break the device in half. Enjoy the screening!" It was priceless :).

Nobody can say that they won't treat you like family! Great story robinuday-- I felt like I was there.

Jim told us that the jittering was due to overexposure of an important shot.. therefore they had to bring it up in post.. it was human error.. not camera
