Hey Guys, Holly Shit the footage is well Holly SHIT... Amazing.. You just have to see it. It is only how RED and a camera like RED should show test footage.
Anyway there is so much stuff to go over but here are a few of the hot points and a ton of pics.
RED ONE is working, they have a working model there that has fottage being piped out the HD-SDI port.(Could be HDMI I really was not looking that close) So all the doubters that thought you could not do it in this amount of time, well you where worng. The camera it's self is beautiful. Looks rugged and very well made. Feels good and has everything in a very logical place.
The cage.. I belive it was Matt that I talk to. Hell of a job Matt you thought things through very well and that has turned into a must have. It is built very very well.
Lenses... Well guys this is the fun one. first we have a new zoom and it is very very pretty. It is very small and is different It is a 18-50mm f2.8 and the price point is only $6,500 that makes it a no brianer. This is the lens that will never leave your camera. As far as the 18-85mm that is being held up for some reason I will let other far more smarter people way in on that. Now what we have all been wanting is, they are giving us a set of
RED PRIMES
Thats right a set... It will have an f2.8 15mm, f1.9 25mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm
perfect and what about the price. Well lets put it this way we went and looked a Canons booth and looked at some of their E primes one lens was $35,000 and up. So what do you think RED did...
$19,975 for the set. That is unbeliveable. I am so very excited about that. you have no idea.
Now RED CINE is amazing... Thank you Graeme. It is a very well thought out program. Everything and more we wanted. it is a pro level program. I need to go back tomorrow and sit down with Graeme, and Evin and really get into the guts of it. But lets just say it works and dose everything very well. And simple, my dad can use it.
REDCODE is the shit... all the footage we saw was only 700GB that will mean more when you see how much footage we are talking about.
Everyone at the RED booth is awesome. It was so good to meet allot of you. It is always fun to see the ones I know. Evin you can still the my camra any time you need it...
Jim thank you for your work and welcoming us along for the ride. I don't know how many other CEO's are in their booths shaking hands. I would guess none. So thank you.
So now what you want pics.. Sorry for the spelling errors.

Great pics, IMG! Felt like I was really there (without all the elbow rubbing and the noise). For those of us on the opposite coast, it's nice to be able to put some faces with the names of the Red Team Members (especially Kelly  )
This has been such a friendly and informative community, it's nice knowing what me new west coast friends look like. Everybody have a great rest of NAB!!!!

Hi Guys,
Here are some pics I was able to get in the midst of the craziness yesterday. What can I say? Absolutely incredible. I'm working another booth for the show and asked if they wouldnt mind if I skipped the first hour of the first day to be at the Red opening. I showed up around 15 minutes past 9AM and had to wait in line for about 45 minutes to get in... but of course, everyone knows by now, why it was well worth it.

Anyone know if the hex screws on the red rail are the final design, or just a placeholder until the finger screw gets made?

I'm wondering about this as well. I was always under the impression that the rail and cage were going to allow for a quick assemble/dismantle.

How 'bout the price tag on that carbon fiber mattebox? I think that sucker is about $4500. Of course, RED could offer their own matttebox... Pleeeease?

Actually, I think the only carbon fiber pieces to the MB20 are the flag/flap and wings. I haven't seen one personally yet... I'm not even sure that's really carbon fiber.

Talking to matt he says everything will be wing bolts. So you will be able to just unscrew and screw with no tools.
