At 9:am the entrances to the South Exhibition Hall were like the start of the Indy 500..total stampede. Everyone in a big gaggle was in a mad dash down the sides of the place. It looked like festival seating at a Who concert or running of the bulls at Pampalona. All these booth workers along the route were just standing there gawking at this humongous throng of red-eyed maniacs trying to out-sprint each other down the aisle!

All day long, every time I passed the RED booth the waiting line went all the way down the outside of the booth, around the back, and disappeared into the distance! I'd say that at least 4,000 people (maybe much more) went through that booth today. It was definitely the chief "buzz" of this opening day of NAB exhibitions. I expect each of the remaining days to be the same.

Hmmm...must be something people want to see in that RED tent...ya think?!

I'm sure you all must have had a blast there today. Wish I could have been there but alas 'tis a long way from these fair isles and ne'er a wind did stir the surface of the ol' miss this fine day.

I've had this sequence in my head today reminiscent of the old Keystone Cops movies when a bunch of reporters run into a line of phone booths only to have the impetus of their rush make the booths topple over. Thats how I've imagined a lot of you guys at NAB making sure we less fortunate souls get the snippets of info that have kept us salivating all day.

Your efforts are more than appreciated by us all.

Cheers,
Mark.
