ok, RED, y'all gotta fix this about REDCine...
I can't watch the tutorials and run the program at the same time. Or any other program for that matter. Is there a way to hide REDCine that I don't know about that lets me out of the program to do other things or run programs simultaneously.
I'm trying to figure out a Crimson Workflow workflow and not being able to simultaneously watch the demo video while following along is making me nuts....
Or is there some way to do this, that I am missing?

Meryem,
F11 will hide REDCine... BUT it won't run in the background, and when processing footage - highly recommended not to have any other apps running. Very strange that it doesn't conform to the standard interface commands.....

Hi Clark: That F11 hide feature got kicked out on my new 17'' Macbook Pro, and has been replaced by an audio control...haven't figured out how to restore it yet, because the hide feature was the most-used function key on my older 15'' - that would help, at least...
nevermind: fn key + f11 does it, dunno why they made something so essential so hidden...

If you hit the "H" while in REDCINE, you'll get the list of keyboard commands.

You can run it on a 2 screen setup, which will address the problem. But, I do agree that the interface is somewhat "unique" and not user friendly (for a PC user anyway) :construction:

After you get to know the beast is pretty straight forward.
I like the interface. It has the discreet logic/ inferno/flames kind of storyboarding arrangement, its developed from scratch guys, so a lot of the workflow is similar, and also shortcuts.

good suggestion, i was just mucking around at home on my powerbook in my spare time, i'll have to take it to work....
i have no doubt that i am going to love this once i get it working properly. i seem to replicate the exact same issues over and over, though. i'll have to see if anyone locally is using this, so that i can get some hand-holding, i think....

Meryem, in your MBp preferences, you can choose/toggle from normal F key commands or comfort functions (sound, etc...)
Got me puzzled too when I got it...
