Power zoom, but it could be used on focus if the shot needed it.

Yes, I believe it's he RED "Microforce" zoom motor.
It connects with the replacement grip you see here:

The big knob looks a lot like the zoomknob on a Preston microforce controller.

I love the way it looks! Kinda reminds me of new age flight simulator joystick! Or the control stick to Apache Longbow Helicopter. Cant wait to Blow away the competition with this lol!

Great look for those of us stuck at work, thanks! That is identical to the microforce zoom knob....pretty radical design otherwise. Sweet! I hope these controllers/motors work outside of the RED world, too. They could sell a shit-ton of these things.
