Is the single link output on the red one able to do 3 Gb/s for HD-SDI 4:4:4 or 2K? Looks like some Decklink new products http://www.blackmagic-design.com/products/multibridge/techspecs/ and http://www.blackmagic-design.com/products/hdlink/specs/ will be able to use it (less cables)
