Gun control.

Has never ever stopped criminals from getting them.
The Mayor of Nagasaki got shot yesterday, heavy gun control in Japan.

While I staunchly support Americas' right to bear arms, I think hand guns should be banned for all but Police and Military.

Support you local police.

Gun control.

Not to get into political debate, but that isn't going to happen. So many laws in place as it is... Every time something like this happens the gun control lobby jumps up and starts saying "we need to abolish all guns!" or "we need tougher laws and harsher punishments!" Never mind all the laws that were blatantly violated for this act of violence to take place. With 10's of millions of guns, in N. America and nearly 80% of them untraceable, how will they be eliminated or controlled? So far, all gun control laws, of which there are a great many in place as it is, do nothing but take guns out of the hands of law-obiding citizens. Those with no regard for the law will always have access to such weapons through illegal channels. Even if the punishment for possession of a firearm becomes instant police execution, that will do nothing to stop a distraught individual with a deteriorating mental state from acquiring a black market gun or even making one himself and capping a bunch of strangers before putting the last bullet through his own head. Sorry.
