i've heard it from jim and many reduser members but can someone in the know confirm just how reservation holders will be taken care of?

in other words, if i have a camera and lens reserved, will there be accessories available for me when my camera is ready to ship (hopefully in july)? should i place all orders now, wait until nab madness ends or just wait until they contact me about my camera. will they contact me about my camera?

i couldn't make it to nab to see all the new goods so i figured i ask some boring questions.

from hdforindies.com:

"Other good news - reservation holders get priority, so don't sweat freaking out about nailing down new accessories immediately - they'll call you when your # is up and you can sort it out then - no need to panic and order - priority based on reservation # - you get all your toys at once, so don't worry."

So my cam and accesories July for me.Yes.

Though it's still a little unsure whether the new Zoom lens will come under the "accessories will ship with camera" or not. Some have said the lenses will ship with your camera, which infers that they are not in a reservation list anymore, but of course there are those who ordered the lens earlier.

OK, this sounds promising, I won't sweat not having a reservation for the prime set. If my order did go through, then great. Otherwise I'll get it sorted whenever someone at RED finds my email. My camera probably won't ship until October anyway, but I wouldn't mind picking up the primes earlier so I have my own glass if I rent something in the mean time. Or I could rent them to others... Not sure if I'd really want to do that though..

Man i can't tell you how happy I am with the 18-50mm small zoom. That is the most perfect lens for me in size and price. I am still not clear on its cost as I've seen two different prices. For my wallet I hope its the lower one.

And all those EOS lenses I have can be controled with the new Mount/handle. I have no more requests. All is good

Jim has stated it's $6500.

So, this new zoom makes for a good all around lens for making a feature?

I was planning on getting a Nikkor 17-35mm zoom & 50mm which is all I really need to shoot my features, so this new zoom is a no-brainer for me.
