Maybe it‘s too late to add some features to the EPIC wish list.

But I think it would have some advantages to include 3G or better LTE (Long Term Evolution) support on board or at least an USB Port for upcoming USB sticks.

With HSPA we have already up to 7.2 Mbit/s for download and 2 Mbit/s for upload. By the end of 2009/early 2010 LTE/HSPA+ will give us more than 20 Mbit/s for download and more than 10 Mbit/s for upload. This should be enough to serve wireless REDRAY capabilities.

WiFi is nice but very often you don‘t have WiFi access.

In case it is not possible today, LTE standard will be finalized be the end of 2008, an upgrade path would help.

Btw, I‘m writing my post on my macbook pro with HSPA usb stick and 3 Mbit/s mobile internet access from a mallorcean finca, no Wifi here.

Hi, I agree that wireless enablement on the cameras is a great step, but I think the most useful would be the PAN
(Personal Area Network) ones like UWB, WUSB, Wi*, Bluetooth etc. instead of 4G wide area - if we have to choose and prioritize... Many of these can easily co-exist, some even on the same chip. I've already got requirements and apps in mind, just need the hardware! :innocent:
