Everyone is straight forward and involved at RED I'm sure you are too but to come on reduser after not really participating.... honestley you don't even answer your emails and frankley come across with an attitude of "What can you do for me"? I'm sure you will recieve all the footage you need to cut a great RED demo. I don't get the impresion to care about much beyond yourself but if RED is realy your number one goal you would get a larger response to your post for footage then you should have some else at RED post the request on Reduser.

Strait is actually spelled straight.
Realy is missing an "L" and some else is missing the whole second half of the compound word - one.
There should be a comma after larger too.

Ouch.. i detect a little bitterness :(
I dont want to speak for him, but he doesn't have time to answer questions on REDUSER everyday, mostly because he never in one place long enough to sit in front of a computer.
Just so you know.. Ted works his ass off 14 hours a day going from Studio to Studio, and has probably spent more time in the air the last year than most of us have in the last 20 years, spreading the love "offline" in the real world, country to country.
He also is responsible for a large part of what you guys experience in the RED TENT every year at NAB, IBC etc.., and that involves months and months of planning. Him taking time to come here and ask the "non-celebrity" filmmakers (like most of us) if they want to be involved in an incredible marketing opportunity (for both of us) he should be praised.. not shunned.
And one last thing..... there probably would never be a REDuser if it wasn't for Ted.... seriously.

Are you talking about Ted Schilowitz?
If you feel it getting warm, it might be because you're about to get flamed.

"IMHO" stands for in my HUMBLE opinion. There's no humility in your post.

This thread should be deleted, seriously Jarred, everyone else knows Ted is working his butt off and making the real world except Red. This thread is a waste of time, Jarred said it best. Please someone close this now.

I thought Ted had no time due to being to busy looking at himself in the mirror.

I'd personally like to have Ted's job. No matter how tough it may be. It's got to be honest... satisfying... fulfilling work. How can you beat that?
Let the naysayers say what they may. We know better.

I recently read a post about TED that was very very disturbing to me.
I would like to share my experience in working with Ted over the past year. I met Ted in October, I actually can't remember the exact circumstances, but we quickly became instant buddies. we shared mutual friends and more importantly we shared a passion for this camera and maybe not as strongly as ted, i am and was deeply committed to pushing the platform into a state of general acceptance in the "hollywood circles".
Ted first off turned me on to terrence malick and chivo, chivo hooked me up with david fincher, that alone is life changing for me personally and i will go to the mat for ted just for that one phone call. but it is not about me, it is about ted.
ted "is" the one with the relationship with Apple.
ted "is" the one with the relationship with scratch/assimilate
ted "is" the one with the relationship with plaster city
ted "is" the one who has the relationship with AAA level talent film-making all over the world (actors, producers, directors, dps, gaffers, post sups)
ted "is" the one with the relationship with aja to make sure the kona card works with the footage.
see without ted, where would we be, granted jim is god, but ted is certainly jesus like in his commitment to taking care of us. making sure we have the right tools and that everything works in the background. he is tireless in his efforts to get the post production community world wide checked out on the post work flow, he is constantly at the top post houses here in LA , NYC, Chicago, London, Australia, Japan and elsewhere making sure that everyone is up to speed.
example..
remember when the first build 16 beta came out and things were a bit sketchy for a couple of days, the proxies did not work right, redcine and red alert were problematic...that was because ted was in asia and unreachable to cross all the "T's" and dot all the "I's".
i have been with him on some of these calls to post houses, the guy is bulletproof, he knows everything backwards and forwards, could do anyones job better than them if he wanted, and yet chooses to be our leader.
Do not underestimate his contribution to your success with this camera.
now i do not have all the facts because i was not around at the very beginning and i am not with him everyday nor am i privy to everything that happens down south in the OC, but what i have seen and what i have witnessed and heard about first hand is contained within this post.
when you meet ted, the first thing out of your mouth should be, thank you ted. then hi may name is such and such and i have red camera # XXX.
long live ted, the leader of our rebellion.
