I am so excited about the possibility of using Canon EOS lenses on my RED! I contacted canon many years ago about making such a device with no luck. I shoot wildlife and frequently shoot macro at 1 to 10x lifesize. I also use long tele's regularly. In both these situations the slightest movement by the operator can cause image stability problems. I would love to be able to mount the controller for the EOS lenses off the camera. Say, near the tripod bowl where there would be much less likelyhood of transferring vibrations to the image. If the remote focus were on a follow focus type wheel it would be great if you could calibrate the end points of the lens to a range on the wheel that worked well for the shot at hand. It would also be useful to be able to set two or three focus points that could be tactilly sensed while turning the wheel. So, If I'm shooting a bird I could preset focus for the places it is likely to land & know that if ends up in one of those locations I could just snap into focus. When it leaves I could snap to the next place it's heading. It may be a lot to ask for but, hey nothing has stopped you guys yet! Keep up the good work and thanks so much for all you have done so far.
