Been at NAB for two days now. So, so glad I took the plunge last year and put my money down. Everybody on the stand has been great about answering my eternal questions. There's always one that I think of when I get back to my room.

I've ordered two camera's as I mainly shoot drama. How do I ensure that they match on set. Apologies if this has been covered else where, but I did a search but couldn't find any info. Redcode could iron out the differences, but it would be nice not to have any in the first place. Last NAB day tomorrow, I'll probably hook around for one last time.

Thanks david

I believe you can use SD cards to match the cameras. This was old information, and it may have changed since...

I imagine you could match them in the same manner you match other cameras like the varicam. Use a regulated lighting setup, a chroma dumon chart, and a waveform/vectorscope. You would also probably use a lockit box.

RED may have their own workflow or method for matching cameras that may be quicker than that, but that would be one way to do it.

Of course, if you're shooting RAW, there's a lot less you have to match on set.

Beyond shutterspeed and framerate you don't match anything camera-side. You shoot RAW and apply the same grade in REDCine.

Optionally you create one LUT in REDCine from a frame grab and transfer it to both cameras for look-preview.
