Any update on when we might be able to have audio support in REDCINE?

I'd like to know that as well... C'mon RedTeam, you can do it!

An update here would be most welcome! I hope this doesn't get lowered on the priority list.

(This is supposed to be in the REDCINE section, no? - I believe that is where I posted it originally).

I am rather surprised at this. As REDCINE is for more than just image adjustment or conversion, many production will review the audio in selecting shots, which is what many use REDCINE for!

Clearly there is "a reason." We just don't know what it is. The Apple deal? The SDK? I have no idea....but I sure want audio from RedCine too.

I guess the Adobe plug-in will have to enable audio right?

Don't want to speak out of turn here, but I know the RED team has their hands full right now. :)

Audio output is coming soon. It is not a low priorirty.

Its been about two months and I really haven't heard anything about audio. I am constrained to Windows PCs for editing and the whole audio extraction from quicktime proxies isn't really doing it for me. I am just wondering if there is some set date for the release of a RedCine with audio export available or at least another option for me right now to be able to get audio out of the r3d files on a Windows operating system.

Best Regards,
MLN

No offense to anyone, but audio needs to be a much much higher priority, as does a reliable Windows based transcoding tool for R3D files, otherwise many of us low-budget users are screwed!
