I've been using Billings for about 6 months to do all of my invoicing and project tracking, but I'm finding that while it's good at keeping track of complex projects with lots of small line items (such as a small video production), it's not well suited for more basic hourly or job based contract work (like DIT, AC, or DoP jobs).
What are you using to keep track of your billing and basic expenses (especially travel)? My laptop is a Mac, so I'd like to stick with something Mac compatible, but I'm open to using my PC if there is a killer app.

It's hard to beat QuickBooks for ease of use, flexibility and price. We've been using it in our video production, post, audio, talent and duplication business since it was introduced. Your accountant will be happy that you can output all the necessary info for taxes and you can track your expenses and revenue streams. I think you'd find that even your clients are using it.

I've used http://www.blinksale.com/home for about a year and a half now and really like it. It's an online billing system that allows you to email invoices and reminders- pretty simple but works for my DP jobs and camera rentals.
Try it out,
Shane.

Thanks for the suggestions! I've started up trials with these to test them out. Anyone else using something different, or want to second one of these suggestions?

Qbooks is the best solution for its flexability. We also have ScheduAll, which is very nice, but expensive.
