What flashlights are you guys using to cut those beams through the haze when the cops come rolling through the warehouse?

Probably Xenons. I'm sure David Mullen could tell you for sure if you ask in his thread.

You can get away with Scorpions (http://www.streamlight.com/product/product.aspx?pid=33) if the batteries are fresh. For the serious X-files stuff it's the 75W Maxabeam (http://peakbeam.thomasnet.com/item/handheld-searchlight-packages/basic-maxa-beam-package/mbpkg-b?&forward=1). Many rental houses have them. Fun to play with!

Probably some really powerful LED flashlights?

Would Xenon be better than LED?

Scorpions? Maxabeam? Kids' stuff...

If you want a seriously bad-ass flashlight, at all price points, they don't come any better than Surefire.

I own several, and have used them in a couple shoots. LED and Xenon. They have nice, tight, visible beams.

The Maxabeam produces 7.5 Million candlepower. That's about 94 Million lumens.

The biggest Surefire I can find on that site does 500 lumens for 20 minutes.

94,000,000 > 500

You can always use this:

or

But you might blind someone. More practically an HID or LED flashlight would do it:

Costco, Walmart and Sam's have occasionally had a 35w HID spotlight that has a great beam. Here's one guy talking about it on DVInfo.net. He even posted a video showing it in use. Color rendering wasn't bad at all considering how cheap it was.

Oops, I thought we were talking about cops, not search and rescue teams...

That thing brings new meaning to the saying "don't bring a bread box to a gun fight".

I think the led flashlight (http://www.lightflashlights.com/) was very good. And I often used it. The quality was very good. Hoped that you like it very much.
