Did anyone notice the timelapse function on the Red One at NAB?
I was reviewing some photos I shot at the show and noticed in one of the shots thru the viewfinder there was a timelapse menu with the following options:
"On" checkbox
"Expose Time" tab
"Record Time" tab
"Interval Time" tab
"Trigger/Auto" tab

That sounds like it will be fun. Can't wait to get mine and check that function out. I might even have to retire my 20D if it can do all that. Of course I'll use the 20D when I go into the rough parts of LA.

Well, that's about what we asked for. Very cool!
"Expose Time" = same as "Bulb" on a DLSR but without need for a remote?
"Record Time" = how many hours do you want this thing to shoot?
"Interval Time" = time between exposures
"Trigger/Auto" = perhaps telling it when to start shooting, on delay?
Jarred, Jannard, etc, let me in on some timelapse testing, guys! We'll get some footage that will blow people out of the water! All you have to do is trust me to take your billion-dollar prototypes out to Joshua Tree or Lone Pine... heh.
BTW, RED Team, how long of an exposure can you take? For instance, can you take 45-second exposures with 5-second intervals to capture star-trails at night? Also, how do you set up the shutter speed and f/stop for longer exposure shots? Can you take "test stills" or whatever so you know you're properly exposed? Obviously you are not going to see long-exposure stuff in real time on an LCD. On a DLSR I usually have to fire off a good number of test shots before I'm confident enough to start a timelapse.
