View Full Version : Is RED ever going to give us an image flip option?

Personally, I would find it very useful, especially on things like low-end cranes, where the camera would need to be in the underslung position. In addition, it would be great for using the LCD during hand-held use, as the arm doesn't allow you to get the image far enough out when attached on the back of the monitor.

I know it will remind some folks of the old HVX/M2 days, but I'd really, really, really like to see an image flip on the RED's next Build revision.

The Carrion already does image flips. But not somersaults.

another one of those "not as easy as it sounds" things.. Tico is right, some monitors do flips already, and that's probably the best bet. I dont image to see image flip anytime soon on RED ONE.. :(

I believe the transvideos do flips, with some kind of automatic motion sensor voodoo. But most the time there's not much of a reason for it. When you mount to a crane head just go to the cheese plate on the top. Work like clockwork + if it works for 435's and Panaflex Platinums, it should hold the RED.
