If Canon is doing 1080p (to be confirmed soon?) I could see the DSMC having at least 2K. Would 3K be too close with competition with the Scarlet, or will this DSMC actually cost more than $3000?

How can I sleep peacefully through the night with all this terrific news?

See, somehow I don't think that they'll do post processing with this camera. That probably means that there won't be a way for the camera to scale the images that come off the sensor, which means that it'd record any Redcode RAW at native resolution. That is, unless they allow the sensor to be windowed.

2k would be plenty by me! 2k at 120fps :-)

to sell alot of them the price will have to be comparable to things like the d90 , I'm thinking between 1 and 2k with a lens

Also would be nice if it could pull from the full or most of the sensor, but that might be wishful thinking.

2K downsampled from a larger sensor would be okay, but a 2K bayer crop (pixel for pixel) would not result in a clean 1080p image.
