1. In-camera pixel shift and super resolution processing. This is how it would work: The camera has a small actuator on both the x and y axis which can offset the sensor by about half a pixel. When Super Resolution enabled, Four images are shot in rapid succession in each sensor position and the camera either processes them into a single image using Super resolution or bundles them into a RAW for later processing with super resolution. (This function would be primarily for still life and landscape stuff.) The actuators could also be used to make the sensor "self cleaning" like some Canon cameras. (The sensor could shake itself to get dust off)

2. In camera HDR shooting and precessing. I suggest Open EXR as the container format since it hasthe brilliantly conceived Half Precision (16 bit floating point) as well as high precision full 32 bit float mode, good lossless compression and is Open and well supported in professional software. (This could be combined with the super resolution function to get double res HDRs Imagine using that for landscapes!)

3. "Panorama Guides" to help when shooting tiles for a panorama.

4. True SLR-style through the lens viewing, only using a movie camera style spinning shutter rather than the usual flip up style. This would allow for using the optical view finder when shooting movies.

5. "Full Frame" (meaning 8-perf equivalent) sensor

6. Compatible with Canon EF mount lenses.

7. Simple macro language/function allowing for easy automation by user.

8. Programmable in-camera image processing. For example, you could use this to process a one shot panorama from a mirror type device like this: http://www.0-360.com ( combined with the Macro function, Super Resolution and HDR functions, this could be extremely powerful! ) This could also be used for more "pedestrian" stuff like correcting CA, barrel distortion, vignetting, etc.

9. WiFi remote control and image upload.

10. As small a body as possible.... but a Break out cables for getting stuff like digital Audio to the camera for embedding in movie files, HDMI, Time Code, etc.

Well sure. That would be cool. But how would they do it?
