Interested in a Vancouver REDuser meeting in early October?

Hey Vancouverites,

So far there hasn't been much (or any) interest in a Vancouver Red meet.

Maybe people have been too busy shooting, enjoying the summer, waiting for RED / Redrock backorders, or trying to figure things out on their own?!

But I thought I'd put the feelers out for an early October meeting...

Hopefully for a bit of networking, exchange of information / experiences, and perhaps some post discussion as well.

I'm happy to help make it work. Perhaps on a Friday night October 3rd or 17th, as Thanksgiving falls on the weekend of the 10th.

I'm thinking something more casual for the initial meeting. Where we can leave our camera packages at home thus avoiding any gear jealousy:-)

If I am in the city I'd be interested in a Red gathering. Is there any word of Digital Film Central firing up the Beer&Pixels again? Last I heard they were going on hiatus for the summer and I'm thinking that season is gone which would place a Beer&Pixels on October 3rd... you might want to give them a call and see if there will be a conflict with meet-ups.

Well I'm sorry guys....I tried to arrange something but due to a fairly underwhelming response and being insanely busy on commercials (albeit tech'ing Clairmont's REDs not mine) it looks like I'll have to wait awhile before trying again...
Currently on a 3 day shoot after working the first day of the long weekend.
Didn't expect Oct to be busier than the summer...but it seems that RED is catching on at least.

i love this idea and tried last year to get it going as well. let try again as it could be cool to know each other try out different gear or offer stuff for sale in person...
