OK, with our WWII vets dying at 1000 per day and not many being with us any longer I have recently conducted interviews with the pilot, co-pilot & flight engineer/top turret gunner of a B-17G. They are all in their mid to late 80's. The pilot is still as sharp as he was at 23 & flying a Fort into combat over Nazi Germany in 1944.

Well, I've written a short script and may have the donation for use of a restored/flyable B-17G. Of course, it would be sitting on the tarmac with actors representing the 10 member crew & CGI would have to make the wheels be up, props turning and the plane flying.

NOW, I've just recently heard of this remarkable camera. BUT, when is it going to be generally available? For rental? Just curious if anyone could give me more info (I'm looking to shoot this during the planes winter maintenance break after Thanksgiving 07).

Rentals should be coming by the summertime if all goes well but why wait for a Red if it's incredibly urgent? Story is story...

RED will not rent cameras. You can rent them from individuals or rental houses as they become available. This has been covered many times before.

Do you know of any rental houses that are signed up for one of the original 1500 cameras and that will be offering it in their rental program? Will somone like Birns or another house in S. Cal be getting one? If so what kind of time frame. Summer? Fall?
Thanks in advance.
