Hi,

as I read in the manual USB-2 type A port is for USB peripheral devices and USB-2 type B port to connect the camera to a computer.

* Which peripherals could be used (on-camera light, servo for follow focus)?
* What would be the use of connecting the RED to a computer? Can I update the camera that way or download footage from the RED Drive through a computer onto an external drive?

Please let me know
thanks

Okay, pimping your RED with leds and fans is cool, but this is a serious question.

Many of us need remote control of camera functions like using the handheld CCUs that are available for almost every model of highend video or digital cine camera, F900, Varicam, Betacam, DVCPro, Arri D20, etc.

It is about time to let us know if RED is producing such a device or if they will release to us documentation or SDK to allow camera control through the USB.
