Thank you. We are a NY base company and I just want to offer my services to RED users that needt offline work or need help to extract the files from the RED to be used on AVID or Final Cut Pro sytems.
Where do you think I should post my services?

Yeah. Seems like a bit of an advertisement. It is usually wise to lurk about and understand how an online community works before jumping in with blatant advertising.

For example there is a section called "Jobs / Equipment For Hire" which may be more appropriate, but even then I would double check by asking a moderator if it was OK since you are promoting a service, not renting your gear.

I usually deal with businesses on a 3 strikes and you're out basis. Strike One.

Thank you guys. I will contact the moderator.
Last week I had a costumer with 14 hours of RED footage and he need it ready for AVID Symphony DNxHD 175 I encode the files using 2 MAC PRO 2 x 3.2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon. The files are been edited with out any problems.

How was it done? Render should have taken like a week.

Well took me for each minute of video 12 minutes of render 1:12 and for this client what I did is first extract the files using Final Cut Pro 6 to Pro Ress 422 HQ and the use the other MAC Pro to encode the files to DNxHD 175 using compressor. To fix the metadata I used MetaCheater v1.5

So you encode the files to a lossy codec (ProRes) from a proxy that's not debayering the full resolution and then encode to another lossy codec (DNxHD 175). Awkward workflow with obvious quality issues if you ask me.

Why not use RedRushes instead?
