Hey Reds,

I heard a bunch of different stories at NAB regarding invoicing and ordering of camera accessories.

My questions:

1) Do I need to get online and order my accessories? Should I call it in?

2) Can we still order individual pieces outside of the production packs? I am not sure I want the premium pack although Matt made a good case for it. If I could see individual pricing I might just get a basic pack and add a few bits.

3) Can I transfer my zoom reservation over to the 18-50 from the longer zoom?

4) If I take delivery on say July 15, what day will I be invoiced and how long do I have to pay? (I gotta make another $6500 real fast to get that great compact zoom :sarcasm: )

I second your question...

I have to refrain myself from ordering lens and accessory... every second...

Hey El,

We misssed you at the Reduser gathering last Tuesday. I know at least two people said they thought you were coming. Mebbe next time.

Same questions here.

Is it ok for reservation holders to order ALL their accessories and lenses within the 30 day timeframe of the RED ONE delivery?

I was told by both Graeme and Joanne that reservation holders do not need to pre-order accessories. We will be contacted a few weeks before our number comes up, and asked what accessories we want.

Obviously that doesn't necessarily apply to the prime set, as that won't be available until later. I put a deposit down on one at the booth, as I suspect they will be in great demand.

I did the same thing just to be safe!

I heard that as but I also heard that I might miss out on lenses or accessories if I didn't make a reservation right away. I'm not really worried, I just would like to hear the policy expressly from whoever has the final say on this subject be it JJ or to whomever he's delegated responsibility.

Truth be told, I would most prefer to talk to the women of Red.

I'm curious to know...

Having bought one only last week, I think I'm an unlucky bugger with oodles of time to wait. Either way, it'd be nice to know for cashflow planning.

And, if I order tonnes of accessories, do I get them now, or with my camera? What happens if - forbid it should - manufacture get delayed a year, the last thing I need is $10K of kit collecting dust without prospects of attaching a camera to it.

First, you should all know that our reservation holders will remain our priority. It is not completely necessary to preorder your accessories right now, however it will help with our projected demand. Its in your hands to decide. Remember, if you ever need us, we are here for you :-)
