There is a whole bunch of new fascinating RED accessories. But as I didn't go to NAB I have no idea what they are and what they do. Could somebody fill me in?
e.g. SuperGrip, Red Spyder, Red Motor, etc.

The Spider is Tex, RED's mascot.
The RED Motor and SuperGrip are lens control devices. The RED Motor mounts onto rails and interfaces with one ring on the lens. Use up to three motors on a single lens [focus, iris, zoom]. The cables connect to the SuperGrip - the control for the motors. The SuperGrip has buttons to select which axis of the lens to control and a thumb rocker to adjust the setting. It also has a record button, an LCD/EVF color temperature button and several [4?] user assignable buttons.
No firm date has been set. It'll be ready when it's ready, I'm sure... :)

So the Supergrip will be wired? I was just thinking it'd be useful if it could be detached and used wirelessly, such as Curts or Redrocks.

I hope there'll be a remote controlled and a single shooter options.

Can you use the Supergrip for any lenses with standard focus/zoom rings? Or is it good only for RED lenses...

standard gearing cine lenses (I'm sure Red's will be no different), you will need to buy gears such as redrocks for still lenses

Just to clarify, RedMotor+SuperGrip will be a Servo-type device, smong other things, right?
The RED supergrip is wired only. It communicates to the RED motors as well as the camera. The RED motors will work with any standard gearing cine lens or still lens outfitted with gears. We (View Factor) will be manufacturing a wireless solution that will be able to control three motors. There will also be an output to control the motors wired as well.
Edit: Yes, the RED motors are basically servos. They are more sophisticated that standard lens motors and have a number of features that will set them apart from everything else on the market.

I'm guessing price will be one of those factors...
Price is going to be a huge factor.... I don't think anyone is going to be disappointed.

Let us know when you get a more final design going! I have many gripes about the Bartech and Preston Units although they are mostly pretty great.
