Well it's post NAB.
Saw the PJ short, don't let anyone fool ya, RED ONE is pure cinema. Us Redservation holders are indeed looking like the smartest guys in the world!
Time for RED-Meet 02!
I suggest this Friday, April 27 @ 7pm.
How does that date work for you?
Anyone with an alternate location please post, otherwise The Real Jerk (709 Queen Street East, Toronto.) worked well the last time.
Alrighty then, Please post your Agenda suggestions.

I'm not a reservation holder unfortunately, being a student with no money (and besides I don't have the skill set yet to make use of the RED) but nonetheless, I'd be interested in coming out if I'm welcome. :-)

Graeme's focus
high speed port
delivery, I wary that RED will have delays with the implementation of the features and what are we going to do about it.
Accessories, red grip/red motor, remote focus
Canon smart mount, did anybody went there to ask questions and see it?
And of course, the 4K presentation, impression.
How we can organize the screening of the 4K footage in Toronto.
Visit in the Apple booth, impression of FCP
Who is getting it first in Toronto, what he is going to do first.
In my area here we have only two more reservations.

Yes I am and I am getting my practice in with a similar setup, streamed raw HD using Andromeda. I know the workflow from RED will be smoother than current workflow we are messing with, but it's still great practice.

Have a new born on my hands, so my schedule is very random. If there's no issues where can I find you guys? Sounds like there's an upstairs at that place, is there any pictures of what you guys look like?

Agenda????....
I guess it would be interesting to hear what everyone plans to do with their RED - types of productions; indy, commercial, etc. It would also be interesting to see what different people's kits will consist of. Not everyone will be able to buy everything they need so it would be nice to know that Bob could rent a jib or remote follow focus from Bill, or trade it for a prime lens kit rental... The issue of emergency backup cameras is also important. I guess I'm hinting at a sort of loose network for those who are interested.
Next it would be cool to get an update from the lucky folks who attended NAB.
I suppose I could talk a bit about how the post community has been reacting to Red and who will be ready (that's a bit depressing I'm afraid - haha.) I'm sure Glenn Chan would certainly know more (is he coming?)
Oh ya - for those of us who missed meeting #1 - perhaps Ian or someone could bring us up to speed on what was discussed so that we (I) don't waste everybody's time with old stuff.

Many thanks to Ray and Penny from PS Production Services for picking up the tab for dinner! :weight_lift:
Those folks are fantastic!
PS is a true RED believer and they are making a big commitment to a RED future.
That's great news for all of us early adopters because their involvement will go a long way toward building confidence in potential clients.
Look to PS when it comes to kitting out your RED on shoot day. They have all the support equipment and they understand Indies.
Our next RED-Meet will take place in a couple of months when my new best friend Garth :biggrin: gets #98.
We'll get together @ PS and slap some of their glass on Garth's new Baby!
Then maybe we'll head over to Alex Boothby's workplace to screen that RED sweetness.

I'll be ordering my RED next week or the week after. I don't suppose a week is going to make a huge amount of difference to my camera delivery date ;)
I was glad to read that PS is fully behind RED...anyone heard what SIM's position is?

SIM is all the way in. They have 5 in Toronto, likewise in Vancity and LA.
