After exporting Cineform QuickTime movies from Red Cine I re-wrap them to AVI’s for use in Adobe Premiere CS3 some of the clips import into Premiere black. You can play them in Windows Media Player fin and you can import the QuickTime’s into Premiere but the re-wrapped AVI’s are black. The ones that work properly are no different than the ones that come out black.

My computer Specs Are:
Boxx 7400 Series
Dual Opteron Model 270 (Dual Core)
3GB DDR400 ECC (4 DIMMS)
NVIDIA Quadro FX 1400 128MB DDR
120GB 7,200rpm Serial ATA 8MB Cache Drive
16x Dual Layer DVD±RW Writer (with Nero software)
Windows XP 64 Professional Edition SP2

We don't recommend MOV for Premiere Pro, although is many cases it does work.

Well your PC has other troubles, we have no Ring-0 driver level code, only thing that can cause BSOD. Something else most be causing that, look and disk and driver driver issues.

Ring 0 is usually the kernel level. Kernel mode drivers have the ability to crash the machine.

Weird, this problem seems to have been fixed my unplugging an external firewire drive.
