Anyone know of a nice little clamp or something I could use to mount a shotgun mic to my 15mm rods or 1/4 or 3/16 threads on cheese plate?

Those claps are great, I currently own one and just ordered three more. I think I will screw two of them together one side holding the mic and the other to grip rods.

I was just wondering if there is a tool custom designed for this purpose.

I would use this http://www.rycote.com/products/softie_system/softie_mount/ or any other similar mic holder from an audio supply - which should screw right in to the aforementioned clamp mount.

The Monstercine Hydra clamp with 15mm Shoe Spud is a great, flexible solution. www.monstercine.com

I would use this clamp on a top rail : http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/298906-REG/WindTech_MSA_1_Add_On_Microphone_Clamp.html

And just attach a small shock mount or mic clip to the mount (I believe this is a 5/8").

More clamps are listed here: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=sort&A=search&Q=&sortDrop=Price%3A+Low+to+High&bl=&atl=&pn=1&st=categoryNavigation&mnp=0.0&mxp=0.0&sv=8670&bhs=t&shs=&ac=&fi=all&pn=1&ci=8670&cmpsrch=&cltp=&clsgr=
