RED + Variable Frame Rates

Is there any chance that variable frame rates will be enabled for the first shipments? Or will this be one of the last features implemented? Just curious. I'm totally happy with 24fps from the get go..but variable frame rates would be awesome.

I'll definitely want the variable rates in place by the time mine ships... But I've got a while still. Hopefully this isn't a feature that gets pushed toward the end.

Most definatley. I don't see why not at all. What would your framerate be without it? 24? 30? 60?

I really have no doubt that they'll have variable framerates.
