Digital Vision Nucoda 3.6r2
We are pleased to announce the release of Digital Vision Nucoda software version 3.6r2. This release includes our initial support for the RED ONE camera format (R3D). Thanks for that - Yes it is available - it was released yesterday.

I am not sure what you mean by this - the SDK offers very full support, and it is being updated, we are already on version 1.2 so just saying "the SDK" is a bit vague.

is your software doing the debayering?

Hi
I've seen Nucoda working with Red files and would recommend it as a DI tool. I guess they, like nearly everyone else, at this stage aren't allowed to debayer on their own.
It has a very deep grading feature set but also includes many very usefull other features ... The two that are very attractive to me for Red are:
Avid compatibility with both file (read and write) and metadata is absolutely fantastic for Avid post.
And very very good noise reduction tools (I think they have some sort of award for it?)
It is primarily sold to post facilities.
worth a demo for anyone with those needs

Nigel,
I believe right know version 3.6r2 is limited to 2K. We try to play around with the Avid EDL and found some conform issues. Anyway will clarify it with your team in Broadcast India Show, India next week. Catch you there.

Hello,
No we are using the R3D SDK provided by Red - the SDK does the debayering and loads the file in to our library.

Hello,
We are not limited to 2k - but we do recommend that people use a 64bit OS when working at 4K to get optimum performance. I'd be interested to know what the conform issues were - pls e-mail me details privately and I'll investigate.
