Hi,
I have to admit, that I belonged to those, who never believed in RED. I could not imagine, that after Panavision, Arri, Sony and all the other companies working on a digital camera for a decade, not beeing able to deliver anything beyond full HD, could be literally nuked away by some guys, that showed only an empty body at NAB 2006.
I was right!
My deepest respect to RED.
Now, I have to catch up. After what I have read, I really doubt, that I will want to use filmstock again. Having produced indie on 35mm, I know, how the fun ends, when it comes to laboratory costs. I do not see a reason for not shooting a feature with that.
Now, is there anyone of those blessed, who preordered a RED in NYC?
Would you be willing to get in touch?
I recently relocated from Europe to NYC, so this is a part of a networking as well... :-D
I am looking forward.
Jonas
