I've finally got all my NAB photos organized and a good chunk of them posted online.

Great to see some Steadicam/Red related info, Mikko l'm guessing that's your Archer that you are using, so do you think Red with their Zoom lens would be usable on the Flyer? I don't know of any weight info released on the Red camera or the lenses at this point in time so l thought you might have a gut instinct on it after using the Red on the Archer. Obviously you wouldn't use the battery on the Red etc.

Those pictures look great! you guys must have had a blast at NAB...I'll have to go next year.
Would you recommend using RED with a Steadicam Flyer? I am getting one soon and hopefully it can fly RED without nearing the breaking point.

Stripped down, the body and lens only would mount on a Flyer and be within its operating weight range. However, the camera wouldn't be very useful in that configuration. A more realistic use of the camera, with all the necessary accessories (lens, focus motors, mattebox, filters, recorder, etc) would probably be beyond the limits of the Flyer.

It's an Archer and an Ultra2 posted. The Archer is perfect for the camera.

Didn't anyone tell all you steady guys about the new "smooth cam" feature final cut just introduced. Word on the street is it makes Steady cam Op's obsolete.

That's ok Finner, I'm a Steadicam opeartor, not a Steady cam operator :)
The rig that I'm flying in the picture above is the Steadicam Ultra2. We also flew RED on the Steadicam Archer (the first pictures in the gallery) in a more compact config.
RED will be able to fly on the Flyer in highly stripped down configurations. The body, a lens and focus control will be about it though.
The recomended Steadicam for the RED in most configurations will be the Archer, and then the larger rigs as you put on more acessories.

You know, since I'm so visible and featured in all those photos... I demand a Steadicam shirt as compensation.
I kid, I kid...
