X-box 360 (devkit) > component out (set to hdtv) >to>Gefen Component>hdmi converter >to> Blackmagic Intensity>hdmi
I get an on off green image in final cut :-/ tried 2 intensitys..
Had the dip switches set correct on the Gefen
Use the Gefen to plug into a plasma tv.. works fine via hdmi..
Any ideas? try to record in-game footage for a client.. nothing illigal..
Plus I know the RED has hdmi out.. so getting confused on what hdmi really is.. or isn't..
Any shed some light ?
Cheers

Cheers Martin. Posted there as well. The Gefen fed a plasma fine though.. wierd.
Support for the intensity suggested intensity only meant for hdv.. a small width of what hdmi actually is :-/ eh.. suggesting just feeds from video cameras.. but we were only feeding it 720 50. Not even 1080i :-/:blink:
Which left me even more confused.. if it's just for video cameras.. then if the Gefen fed a tv fine... it's a tv signal. Head started to hurt ...
Really don't want to stump for a card till I can test the io/hd

I remember hearing something on This week in media or Macbreak weekly about a problem with feeding the Intensity from an HV20, I seem to recall it came down to a driver issue and it was unresolvable at present. Something like that, all a bit vague because I wasn't really paying attention at the time. Can't remember what the problem was but there are obviously some issues.

Dunno, read it on the forum.. whats the camera they have on the homepage?
ah well.. talk of a firmware update post NAB. Though I suspect they will suggest the intensity pro for component.. sigh.
