Maybe this has been posted, but just saw it and thought I should share (sorry if it's been posted):

The beta plugin has been out since at least Aug? And still not beta for us to download? Then I hear recently they just started to work on it again, needed to wait for CS4. Which is it? That link shows a beta workflow (no audio) back in Aug, you think there would be a beta plugin up on Red support page by now. Come on now, lets get a workflow going already for Windows.

although I really want the plugin, I don't think RED is going to let it out like that, I'm pretty sure they're trying to get it near perfect the first go around. Either way, I'm really excited it's coming, I just wish we had a more transparent view of what was happening behind the scenes. Besides Epic, the Adobe plugin is the one thing that keeps me checking the forum.

Anyone know how the color correction tools inside PPro or AE will handle the R3D files? Since they are raw, wouldn't there need to be some additional step to get color correction going properly? I'm thinking in the still photo world- where you can't just open up a RAW image in photoshop, you have to import first and bake in your color temp and exposure adjustments, etc. (or open in lightroom)
Also, anyone venture to guess how long it would take to transcode 4K R3D to 1920x1280 H.264 for blueray dailies? Judging by experiences with DVCProHD to H.264 I'd guess it'd be more like weeklys at the moment.
Finally, why are they using 30fps as the preset?
