3 Days of Broadcast Asia (NAB / IBC of India) went down well. Everyone claimed to support RED One based workflow / solution. But no one showed real world workflow except Scratch / Film Master.
Film Master as of 3.6r2 release can support only 2K and it converts the footage at 16-bit RGB and works very well.
Assimilate Scratch demo seems interesting. The fun part is running R3D footage on Laptop with some kind of evaluation version. I also got an hands on feel with Scratch and Nacho was kind enough to provide evaluation copy for me. Thanks Nacho for your kind support.
Cooke had a poster saying Red Set with 14-40mm Zoom, 50mm, 75mm and 100mm lens sets and had conversation with them. Cmotion, wireless follow focus and Red One Start / Stop solution seems interesting.
Pablo never showed me the Red Workflow. Went to booth couple of times and I believe they don't have right solution yet. Davinci not supporting yet .
Arri D21 persons not even know the clear workflow and asked them couple of times about the recording format / medium and got nothing from them.
Panasonic has one of the largest booth showing all their new cameras including their broadcast models HPX 3700 / 2700 etc.
