View Full Version : My Scratch Doesn't load RD3...

Hi Guy ,
I've just got my eval license for Scratch , but actually i can't load RD3 files...
I have downloaded and put REDNode in the right position (bin Folder) but it seems that Scratch it does not see it...
I am running Scratch on Win XP using Bootcamp on a Mac Pro 1st gen...
Scratch 3.9 B462
Any Idea?
I mean do i have to prepare particular settings?
Actually i can't see the Voice RED any were in Scratch...

You should be working with the latest release version - build 491. Is there a reason that you're still on 462?
If you're having problems, I would suggest uninstalling, copy your license file somewhere safe, delete the Assimlate folder in 'Program Files', reboot, then install.

I have unistalled -deleted -reboot - reinstalled....nothing...
The 462 is the same version of the REDNode in the RED download page , so it should work...
Anyway now i am waiting Assimilate guys to complete the registration and download the latest version...
PS: To load the RD3 file do i have to set specific settings otherwise it doesn't work?

To work with B16 material, I belive you have to get in touch with assimilate...

Because the build 462 it doesn't support the B16?

No! :)
But AFAIK (and arrest me if I'm wrong) you have to be in direct contact with your re-seller to get the build 16/17 node.
This is what it says on the RED/Support page:
Note: Supports RED ONE cameras up through Build 15 v2.2.5. See www.assimilateinc.com for beta version of SCRATCH
There are realtime issues with the +build15 versions of the codec, though.

Please work with us offlist.
The Rednode on the RED website is not what you should be using. If you have received a demo and a license, then you need to do the following:
1) Uninstall SCRATCH
2) Delete the Rednode file that you downloaded
3) Reinstall SCRATCH.
That's it, and you should be fine.
