View Full Version : Very detailed Avid Workflow guide on Avid's site
I don't know how many have spotted this already, but the workflow guide published by Avid is really detailed. Very thorough step-by-step guide through an Avid Media Composer offline edit and then generating online clips from RedCine or RedRushes using an EDL/XML list. I'm impressed. (And less confused.)

Just found that in the REDrushes workflow in that document, there's no mention that the ALE created is V only. REDrushes doesn't appear to notice the presence of audio in the QTs. Workaround is to modify the clips after ALE import (at add A1 and A2) but before Batch Import of the QTs.

You are not reading the latest version. The 9/30 version lists the audio issue as well as the the need to modify the +1 on the END. Those who signed up for the notification email were sent an email alerting them to the changes, new tools and to those two issues with the ALE file.
