Check out this article from Studio Daily:

"Colorist David Cole said cinematographer Thomas Ackerman rated the camera’s dynamic range at about eight stops (which is less than 35mm film) and elected to overexpose the image slightly because the tests showed those images were slightly less noisy than underexposed footage."

I dunno, I've shot with the Genesis a number of times and I'd put it at around 9.5-10 stops. I did however, find it a little noisy in underexposed areas, and buried in that ( which we found during some comps), was more than a hint of fixed-pattern noise.

Eyeball, but some setups in particular were pretty obviously over 8 stops in range( backlit subject at sunset in front of glittering ocean, still able to bring detail out in the subject during the CC)
I wouldn't put it over 10 stops though...we did lose some detail in the sun itself. That, and the fact that the highlights are still plagued with that vertical streak/line/smear that you get with big single CCD sensors.
