Jannard

His posts always satisfy my craving for new info. But even more for his words of wisdom.

Jarred, and Offhollywood always have the scoop first.

Followed by Brent and David Mullen, who's posts are always extremely helpful.

How could you guys forget the infamous JonathanLB? Those were classic posts that may never be topped. :-)

When I need words of wisdom, I find they often come from David Mullen.

And there are a lot of other really cool people on here that I respect and learn from all the time.

JonathanLB seems to be on dvxuser nowadays. What did he say?

My favorite is jpp. His posts blast of negativity, but are definitely a good read.

Gibby, David Mullen, everyone on the Red team, etc. Basically, those who are giving of their own time and knowledge to better equip the rest of us.

As for comedy, ChuckT has my vote.

Lol - I was fully expecting a discussion on movie posters.

Well, might as well hijack this thread since mine would be Metropolis, the long poster:

I don't think I have a favorite poster. At least not in the sense that I think one person brings more to the board for me to enjoy than others.

In terms of knowledge and willingness to share it, David, hands down. One thing that people don't realize about Mullen is, not only is David the most knowledgeable person on this forum when it comes to cinematography, he is possibly one of THE most knowledgeable people on the subject alive. I remember an article that said David has read (and basically memorized?) every issue of American Cinematographer, cover to cover, going back to the 50s or 60s, and maybe further back. David is a veritable walking encyclopedia of cinematography knowledge.

In terms of entertainment value, karapetkov wins in my book. He's brought a lot of fun and personality to reduser. http://www.reduser.net/forum/images/icons/icon14.gif

Have found the technical contributions posted by jbeale, joofa, Pawel Achtel and Leo Ticheli very valuable.

Otherwise, of course, being a veteran of the Birger thread and still waiting for the mount, BirgerEngineer is one of my favourites. Every time he posts something I start to think, could it really be today. :-)
