David Newman posted a link to an awesome training video on the CineForm workflow for Red One created by our own Christopher Grant Harvey. But it was posted in the "other" CineForm thread which is now just shy of 500 posts, and I didn't want this great tutorial to get lost.
The video covers the CineForm workflow for Red One using Prospect 4K with Premiere Pro, including managing Active Metadata and creating 3D LUTs in Premiere Pro, plus switching between Express files and Master files: http://02bb6aa.netsolhost.com/downloads/Red_Workflow.mp4.
(The link above is working now. Previously it was broken as mentioned below.)
We had been holding off for a week+ intending to add a voiceover. But the VO hasn't been finished, and I think the video without voiceover holds its own very nicely.
Chris, thank you very much! Also, thanks to Thor for the great Harley footage used in the video.

David,
Now that we have (FINALLY!!) the REMaster in Mac domain, is there any plan that you will automate it to create (with a simple click) the CF Express Files?:calm:

Luis,
It is pretty simple of the Mac also, just select a folder filled with RDC folders, and the Express preset and start the batch (I don; thave the Mac stuff in front of me so I can't do screen caps.) Funny that it might seem that PC is slightly easier as it all scripted, rather than a tradition application GUI. In both cases the setup should be only seconds to start the conversion on a huge amounts of footage.

David,
Thanks for our continuous support and education on your amazing software(s). I love the REMaster!!! Great job! I cannot wait until it contains some of the features of the HDLink...!
BTW, when do you expect the voice over to the "training" to be completed.
Congratulations on this magnificent way to get into the Mac side of the editing!!!:excl: :excl: :excl:

Jake is support is working on the script, but it is so hard to find the time focus on marketing. We need to do it as Chris as too more training videos just like this.

Just bumping this up for those who may not have seen it...
It answers a lot of questions and explains a lot for people who are interested in CineForm but are unsure of what it can do for them.

We'd generally recommend a dual Core 2 Duo (or single Quadcore) as the entry level for a 2K/4K CineForm editing workflow with Prospect 4K. We have a few Dual Quad's at CineForm and they work very nicely. With a Dual Quad you can easily play through multiple 4K streams with RT transitions, color, effects, etc without rendering. 2K is even easier.
CS3 for now, CS4 beginning late January.
XP or Vista. Generally 64-bit is preferred as we take advantage of the extra memory space. 2GB minimum memory / 4GB preferred.
AJA Xena card for HD-SDI monitoring (optional).
If you're contemplating a new machine, take a look at David Newman's blog. Intel was kind enough to give us some i7 machine for comparative testing. The bottom line is a single chip i7 QuadCore *significantly* outperformed a Dual Quad (Core 2 Quad) machine. We can't wait for the dual i7's (hopefully) out later this quarter. Scroll down to "Intel Core i7 and CineForm": http://cineform.blogspot.com/

In the video I used a single Quad Core Q6600 with 4GB RAM.
Works quite well.

Not that I know of no.
This should give you a good idea of what to expect from the Mac side of things.
