I an aerial test with the red drives and want to find out if i have any dropped frames. What is the best way of doing that while looking at the footage??? I am by no means an expert of the red data. Is there something in red cine, red alert or another program that will tell you if you have dropped frames????

First the camera will show your dropped frame's (and how many)while shooting on your VF and LCD.You wil have greenfields in playback wiht redalert and redcine. Redcine and redalert will not show upfront if you have dropped frames or not and how many. You have to play it to find out.
