Looks like the release of USB3 might just coincide with a certain much-anticipated camera:

Can we expect Red to implement USB3 or will we be stuck with old faithful (yet slow) USB2? With the FireWire problem with Red Drives (I wonder if the Flash drives will suffer the same problem?) it'd be great to have a super-reliable way of backing up at speeds comparable to FireWire (if not better).
