Hi

Anyone know where the terms and conditions of sale for Red One and accessories might be? I have checked out the web site to no avail, but may well have missed something..

Cheers

You give them money. They give you stuff...

Deposits right now are 10%, you get a time-stamped order number that basically holds your place in line. Only RED knows for sure what that order number means. No camera reservation numbers are issued as with us reservation holders...

Everything is fully refundable right up to when RED calls to tell you that your stuff is ready to ship and you decide you want your money back.

Does it state that somewhere?

Yep...

Or just email RED and ask them directly.

Jim has stated so in a post on here somewhere (a pre-NAB post).

Also I have personally gotten it confirmed from Kelly in an email. The 10% deposits are all refundable!

Don't you think it's time for the Red Team to put all this info on the web site... I mean if someone wants to buy the camera and accessories there really should be all this info on the purchase terms, deposits, refunds etc..., instead of redusers having to tell everyone that jim stated this and kelly stated that on another thread.
just a thought...

below is from my RED one reservation form ...

"YOUR DEPOSIT IS FULLY REFUNDABLE AT ANY TIME. Simply contact Red at the number listed on this form or email us and you will receive instructions for a prompt refund. If you choose to use your deposit for the camera, you will receive a credit for $1 ,000.00 (USD) per reservation per camera when you purchase the camera."

But I was told at NAB, that reservation holder shouldn't worry about accessories, that we would be able to choose any of them when comes our camera. Isn't that right, and so should order the accessories to be in the line?

I believe I read a post from Red that if you order the camera now the 10% down is not all fully refundable. I think they keep a small amount if you cancel. I could be wrong. It would be appropriate now that it's not a deposit but rather a purchase order to have everything in writing. My guess is they are focusing their energies in finishing the camera. This thread will be a nice reminder for them.

"was told at NAB, that reservation holder shouldn't worry about accessories"

and lenses .. i too was told that .. from Kelly's post i think they prefer to have an general idea of approx #'s of how many they need to produce to keep up with orders ...

Here is the thread where Jim talks about refunds:

They can set any condition they want (as long as itīs within the law where they operate) but untill they put a "Please read and accept our conditions" on their website or on any contract you sign, from my impression of Jim and RED, they will stand by their words, and that word will be this post by Jim himself.
