Dear RED team,
I'm just about to buy 6 RED RAM drives from you but I'd hate to see them only be used for 6 months or so, referring to the upgrade for Epic.
Is there any possible solution to upgrade the drives to the specs needed for Epic (all the way up to 9K?) without killing ourselves in price? I think I'm looking for some kind of insurance that I don't pay the price of Epic 5K for the drives and then can't use them when I upgrade.
Don't know if it's possible but some kind of upgrade program (if needed) would be nice. Not saying for free, but so we don't have to pay another 5K a drive or so every 6 months? Otherwise I'll hold of for now.
It's more the shelf life that concerns me then price. Well it kind of goes together, but 1-2 years is ok and right now it looks more like 6 months.
