Hi,
Sorry if I seem to be the only one posting here, makes me look stupid.
I have never had any problems using Avid-Monkey. But I am doing some tests on a slightly different type of shoot. This time everything has been put in a folder from different day shoots, I will attach a jpeg.
Monkey doesn't seem to be able to find the clips on either edgecode or TOD. I rendered them TOD because when I did that on Edge the timecodes stated 01:00:00:00.
Any one get any ideas????

it wouldn't pick up the media from internal sata drives. When I copied the media folder to a firewire 800 drive it worked.... what is that all about???
Thanks
Max

hmm. As soon as there are more than one folder of A001 it can't do it. How will I get around this??
Help still needed!!
Thanks

Hi Max,
The problem is the latest release of redline, which has changed the metadata function. If you downgrade to the previous redline, you should be back in business for now.
A new monkey extract will be here this week.

Thanks Nigel,
I just had the email from Craig with the same explanation. I got it to work when I put them on a different drive without any a001 folder conflicts and it worked, but I spent a long day on friday hitting my head on the monitor.
Good news!
Thanks for an easy program for the dpx creation!!

Out of interest, how does it find the media, because on he edl there is only A001 for the tape name?

It's a bit smarter, it looks at both reel and the TC range - however it can get caught when there's two clips with the same TC and reel.

Hi Maxjunk,
You can now download the new version (http://www.rubbermonkeysoftware.com/downloads/Monkey_Extract/Monkey_Extract_1.500.zip) with the Redline fix. It hasn't been tested thoroughly, so let me know if there's any problems.
It has another feature you might find solves your problems - it can rename red reels :)
