I am switching to the nikon mount. What is the best way to do this? Have RED do it or just order the adaptor and do it myself?

After all that I had read, I was very surprised how easy it was. You can't be caviler but if you are just careful, it is really very straight forward. The youtube videos help a lot.

I just installed the nikon mount - but It seems to not lock into place like on my nikon still camera - you guys know why this could be? I aligned it so the "dot" is at "2´o clock".

thanks:)

Brent has a video here on REDuser (somewhere) that shows how to install. I did it on both my cameras and they still work... (the moral of that remark is... anyone should be able to do it)

Just go out and get a screwdriver and don't use the supplied tools... several people striped their screws trying to install the mount - including myself. Apparently a screwdriver with a handle will do the trick rather nicely.
