You know, it occurs to me (and I feel slow for just thinking of it) that with a 2:1 anamorphic squeeze a 645 sensor would yield a 2.66:1 widescreen image. People haven't had that kind of real estate to work with since Ultra Panavision 70. At 6K that setup is apparently expected to be capable of shooting at up to 100 fps. And the camera isn't the size of a refrigerator. Kinda exciting stuff, really. It will be interesting to see if Red gets into the business of building anamorphic lenses for this format.
