I´m waiting for the Audio board exchange. Meanwhile I need a simple working solution just for one mic input. Can I use this with the old Audio board and line in:
MM-1 Line Driver / HP Monitor from sounddevices?
Or Mixpre from sounddevices?
Thank you for your advice!
Marc

mixpre should work. i use the sound devices 302 - works great. sqn works also, but 302 is better.

martin

Either should work (they both have Line outs) but the MixPre will give you a lot more functionality.

I would seriously consider a 302. Its about twice the expense, but is a fully featured mixer (up to 5 channels if you include the tape return), and has a much more luxurious feel to it. I think in the long term, a true outboard audio mixer should be incorporated into your production strategy, regardless, so consider it a long term investment rather than a stop gap solution for a temporary problem.

I thought Marc had those pieces of equipment available and wanted to check compatability.

I'm currently using a MixPre.

Thank you for all your advises. I´m still waiting for the audio exchange. I think I will go for mixpre. It looks like a good and light solutions if I´m shooting without crew.
