Are there any RED owners in Ohio around the columbus area? I have a director friend in that area that plans to shoot something on film or his Canon A1 but he would prefer to get a RED for rent locally.

Hi, I am currently looking to rent a RED as well, but I live in the Dayton area - unfortunately there is not much of a filmmaking community in this area. If you know someone who is getting one in the columbus area, or you know some people who would like to go in on a camera, let me know, I dont have enough for my own, but I have about 4 grand to pitch in to get one. Yeah he is thinking of selling his Canon A1 and his film stuff and get a RED. It won't be until at earliest November as that is when he thinks they will be around to play with.

Well that sounds good, I'm planning on shooting a feature about a year or so from now, if your friend does end up buying one, just shoot me an email, if you think he'd be interested in renting it out, or if you and him are interested, id consider going in on one. How many are still interested in renting a Red in OHIO...? Our company may consider the investment if we can gain 50% back on rentals...

I'm still interested in renting a camera for a student film I'm looking to shoot. We have a small budget, but could get enough money together to rent it for a month. What company are you associated with? I live in the dayton area.
